62. Equal Rites - Terry Pratchett (c. 1987) [213 pages] S: 22 Sept. F: 22 Sept.

Total Books: 62/75
Total Pages: 13,828

I'm currently reading a few books, actually, and about to start Les Miz on Monday for a LJ community challenge. XD

Currently reading (in order of likely to finish first):
Soul Music - Terry Pratchett
A Passion for Books - Various
Winnie-the-Pooh - A.A. Milne
Vanity Fair - William Makepeace Thackeray
Vagabond Voyaging - Larry Nixon

Well. "Currently reading" is more like "Started reading but haven't finished it even though it's been two months."

#61; new book; banned books week

61. Thief of Time - Terry Pratchett (c. 2001) [357 pages] S: 21 Sept. F: 21 Sept.

Total Books: 61/75
Total Pages: 13,615

My first Pratchett book! I'm glad I ended up liking it, because I've got around five more that I haven't read yet. :D

On Wednesday I bought a really nice hardcover edition of Vanity Fair ($1) with lovely illustrations. If it wasn't so heavy I'd be carting it around with me to school, but since it IS I'll only read it on the weekends. So it might take me a while to finish, heh. I'll try for some pictures this weekend.

Also, starting tomorrow it's Banned Books Week! I also like this site, but I don't think it's been updated in a while.

Currently reading: A Passion for Books [224/353 pages read so far]

Since my last update I've bought three books and received another in the mail through PBS. Yay, lists!

Bought, including prices:
The Miser and Other Plays - MoliƩre ($0.50)
Western Edible Wild Plants - H.D. Harrington ($0.50)
A Complete Annotated Listing of Penguin Classics and Twentieth-Century Classics ($0.50)

The Miser and A Complete Annotated Listing are both published by Penguin. :D I may not have mentioned this, but I collect Penguin-published books. Got all three at Zimmerman Library, by the way.

PBS Book Received in Mail Yesterday: Biblioholism: the literary addiction - Tom Raabe

I probably won't get finished with A Passion for Books until the weekend, because I've got a paper and other homework to do. D: School is interfering with my reading!

#52-56

52. Longitude - Dava Sobel (c. 1995) [184 pages] S: earlier this year F: 25 Aug. Gotten through PBS. Was interesting but in a bland sort of way.
53. The Westing Game - Ellen Raskin (c. 1978) [185 pages] S: 26 Aug. F: 28 Aug. This was my seventh or eighth time reading this book, and it never stops being good. &hearts
54. From the Mixed-up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler - E.L. Konigsburg (c. 1967) [159 pages] S: 28 Aug. F: 29 Aug. Another book I've read multiple times. Yay for old favorites! &hearts
55. American Gods - Neil Gaiman (c. 2001) [592 pages] S: earlier this year F: 31 Aug. I liked it, but the ending left a weird-- taste, maybe-- in my mind. I still need to think it over some more.
56. The Backpacker - Albert Saijo (c. 1972) [96 pages] S: earlier this year F: 6 Sept.

I've started reading a few books (The Dialectic of Sex, Ecocities) and trying to finish others (Vagabond Voyaging, A Few Words Before You Go), but they're either too heavy to carry around all day or can't hold my interest. I'm going to the library book sale tomorrow, though, so maybe I can find something (or a couple somethings) that'll be perfect. :D
